Working with Texture and Patterns

Working with Texture and Patterns!

When dreaming up a home, we regularly weave in texture and patterns. We love layering these elements as part of our design aesthetic for many reasons. This is a way to instantly add depth and dimension to a space. Furthermore, it allows us to create spaces unique to our clients with a curated look, all inimitable. Whether you're mixing finishes like wood tones and metals or fabrics like velvet, fur and linen blends, we want to hear from you! How are you layering texture and patterns in your home? Take a peek at these spaces that beautifully illustrate how to effectively mix these design essentials.

Repetition is a great way to add depth and highlight features in a room. Notice the pair of wicker chairs, concrete tables and expansive island pendants. All these pairs pack a punch! Two of our favorite elements in this space are the neutral, patterned rug and the throw with its subtle print.

Leather and linen pillows (some solid and some donning prints) make this couch look stunning and comfortable all at the same time. Talk about dimension!

Natural and man-made texture can be seen here in a minimal footprint. The cork-like stools wrapped in metal are a clean nod to the textured concrete floors yet echo the woodgrain of the counter. The wood counter integrated into the island alone adds amazing depth and interest.

Even when entertaining, you can incorporate more dimension with your place settings. These pebble placemats are no exception with their neighboring cable-knit stools.
