I’m a little late to the blog New Years party, but swipe to see some highs and lows of 2018. Overall, we had an awesome, creative 2018, but there were some lessons learned (like trusting that God-given discernment and intuition) and some setbacks like our office flooded which forced us to move out. We are letting you in something we kept secret since 3 weeks after we launched in 2017....we were in the running for our own HGTV show. After about six and a half months of Skype calls, we were one “yes” away from filming a reel for our own HGTV show (with Dan Bennett). Though we didn't win that opportunity, we hope someone in Wilmington gets their own HGTV show because I (MH) love my hometown and truly believe it is a gem that should no longer be hidden!
We are thankful for some fabulous remodels and custom new builds that God brought us in 2018. One highlight was expanding to the Research Triangle Park and finishing our first project in Cary, North Carolina. Another was having one of our outdoor designs featured on Houzz's homepage (read more about it here). Furthermore, our team member Lauren transitioned from part-time to full-time (we love her!). Lastly, we began working with a few new builders that we are having a blast guiding through floor plan flow and through finishes and selections.
We’d like to give a massive thank you to all the incredible builders, remodelers, vendors, realtors, clients, business owners, family and friends we’ve had the privilege of working with in 2018. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in 2019, and we’re excited to collaborate with our Wilmington and RTP locals!! Y’all rock!! Much love from Mary Hannah & the MHI Team xx
