Elegant Retrohemian Chateau: Home Tour, Formal Living Room
Embracing French opulence came effortlessly when we discovered that our client has a sincere appreciation for fine lighting, luxe silk and vivacious velvet. These elements enabled us to dream up this formal living room (also known as a quintessential Southern sitting room) in no time! With retro and bohemian accents, hence the project name Elegant Retrohemian Chateau, we were able to soften the overall look with fun and approachability. The brass framed oil painting, silk drapes, upright piano and European pine chest are family antiques that we paired with fresh occasional tables and seating. The wicker floor lamp was an incredible junk shop find, and the rug was a custom must-have, setting the tone for this room's color scheme. New and old come together to create a fabulous formal living room for family to gather and chat within a cheerful, elaborate and spacious corner of their remodeled home.
